John Vos, an information technology professor at West Kentucky Community and Technical College, recently placed second in the Cisco Networking Academy global instructor resources contest.
Vos is the only instructor certified to teach other IT instructors the Cisco Networking Academy program in Kentucky. He submitted instructional materials to the Cisco competition’s U.S./Canada category. More than 800 instructor trainers worldwide participated in the competition.
Vos, who has been at the college more than 20 years, has also been instrumental to the regional and national success of several students. WKCTC has had an information technology student in the top 10 of a nationalstudent IT competition each of the last four years.
