Alex Le, the 2012 recipient of the Grainger Tools for Tomorrow® scholarship, recently received a custom Grainger tool kit after completion of his associate in applied science degree.

Grainger Tools for Tomorrow® scholars also receive $2,000 toward their studies at West Kentucky Community and Technical College.

Grainger is a leading broad line supplier of maintenance, repair and operating products. Since 2006, Grainger and the American Association of Community Colleges have worked together to provide more students access to skilled-trades jobs and technical education. The Grainger Tools for Tomorrow® scholarship program awards financial assistance for tuition and books to second-year students at select community colleges across the country earning their associates degree or certificate in an industrial trade.
Le, from Benton, is a heating and air conditioning technology graduate and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Grainger continues to acknowledge the role that quality technical education plays in creating a skilled workforce. “By funding the Grainger Tools for Tomorrow® scholarship program, Grainger has assumed a leadership role in assisting technical students,” said Dr. Barbara Veazey, president of WKCTC. “The college is fortunate to have Grainger as a partner and pleased that they have identified WKCTC as a participant in this program.”
