Eleven West Kentucky Community and Technical College students recently won a total of 15 state awards during the 2013 Phi Beta Lambda State Conference held for the first time on the WKCTC campus.
Phi Beta Lambda is a nonprofit educational association of post secondary students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields. More than 115 students and advisors from colleges and universities across the state attended the conference that was held in the Emerging Technology Center April 13.
“Being a member of Phi Beta Lambda and participating in the conference allows our students to better develop their skills in their respective fields,” said WKCTC Professor Tiffinee Morgan. “ It also enabled them to network with other college students and business professionals from across the state. They will now have the opportunity to compete at the national level and receive accolades from a nationally recognized organization.”
