Paducah, Kentucky (July 21, 2016) – John D. Williams (left) presented Ann Denton (right) with a commemorative chairperson’s gavel Thursday, July 21, 2016 after succeeding Denton as chair of the Board of Trustees for Paducah Junior College (PJC), Inc., the foundation for West Kentucky Community and Technical College.
Williams, retired general manager of WPSD-TV and part-time sales consultant at Allen Auto Sales Inc., and Denton, are members of the 16-member board that oversees the foundation, which provides resources for the improvement and enhancement of educational opportunities in support of WKCTC. Williams, Denton, vice chair, Lorraine Schramke, secretary, Mike Sims, treasurer, and B.A. Hamilton, at-large, will serve as PJC officers for 2016-2017.
Other board members are: Anne Gwinn, Guthrie Allen, Chris Black, Bruce Brockenborough, Joe Framptom, Judge Jeff Hines, Dr. Wally Montgomery, Dr. Bill Wheeler and Ken Wheeler. Paducah Mayor Gayle Kaler, McCracken County Judge Executive Bob Leeper and WKCTC’s president serve as ex-officio board members.
