Paducah, Kentucky (June 28, 2016) -  “Cooking is an art, but all art requires knowing something about the techniques and materials,”  said Nathan Myhrvold, coauthor of Modernist Cuisine: The Art and Science of Cooking and Modernist Cuisine at Home. Myhrvold isn’t the only one who understands why cooking is an art. Beginning July 21, West Kentucky Community and Technical College is melding art and cooking into unique kitchen experiences with local artists.

Spend an evening cooking with one of Paducah’s artists and see firsthand how art and culinary art converge with four classes held from 6 – 9 p.m. at Kitchens Café located at 905 Harrison Street in downtown Paducah. The cost of each artist cooking session is $45. Participants need to bring an apron and wear closed toe shoes.
