Jennifer Haines has been selected as WKCTC Student of the Year! Jennifer graduated in May 2014 with an Associate in Arts degree. She is working toward a bachelor's degree in computer information systems and was concurrently enrolled at WKCTC and MSU this fall. Enrolled at MSU this spring, Jennifer will earn a bachelor’s degree in spring 2016, and she plans to continue her education to pursue a master’s degree. While at WKCTC, Jennifer has served as a student ambassador and Phi Theta Kappa and Student Government Association member and as a lead counselor for the college’s Governor's Minority Student College Prep Program (GMSCPP) that is designed to help sixth-eighth graders focus on careers in science, technology, engineering, and math.
"I have known Jennifer for two years and she is hardworking, compassionate, dependable, motivated, and a very talented woman She is a role model to her children and always puts other first before herself,” said Tamara Hodges. “I cannot think of any other student that is more deserving of this award.”
“Oh my goodness. I am completely humbled beyond words. I love everyone at WKCTC. I pray I am only lucky enough to come back one day soon and begin my career here. You are more like a family than a school. You all have made my day, my week, my month, and my year," said Jennifer. Congratulations Jennifer!!
