Lone Oak Middle School sixth grader Zachary Farmer was one of more than 150 McCracken County students who participated in the 2014 Paducah Area Middle School Science Fair held at West Kentucky Community and Technical College on April 25.
Farmer’s “Density Versus Moisture” project took the Best-of-Show award at the annual fair in the Earth/Space Sciences category. Other project categories included Biological Sciences, Chemical/Physical Sciences, Inventions/Engineering Sciences, and Mathematics/Technological Sciences.Participating students were from Paducah Middle School, West Kentucky homeschools and Heath, Lone Oak, and Reidland middle schools.
