Congratulations to Kim Meyers for being selected as the WKCTC November Student of the Month! Kim is nontraditional student who is currently working toward her associate degree and plans to transfer to a four-year university to earn a bachelor's degree in business administration. Kim credits her husband, a retired military veteran and graduate of the WKCTC nursing program, with encouraging and motivating her to continue her education. As a work-study student in the Financial Aid Office, Kim said she is also grateful to the entire staff for their constant support and guidance, which has been instrumental in her success at WKCTC.
The Financial Aid staff also raves about Kim and her support of WKCTC students. "Kim is always willing to go above and beyond to assist students in need. In particular, she extends her full attention to our student veterans and takes special interest in their success," said Angel Rhodes, WKCTC Financial Aid Student Services Coordinator. WKCTC Financial Aid Director Nate Slaton added, "Kim's compassionate demeanor instantly links her to students, and she develops a bond that brings student back to her for new issues and questions.
