Students in the 2014 radiography class at West Kentucky Community and Technical College recently donated $1,000 to Paducah Junior College, Inc., the foundation of WKCTC. The money has been earmarked for fees and books for future radiography students, and was part of the money raised in the class' first Paint Me RAD Run fund-raiser in September. "The students were ecstatic when they raised $10,000. They had hoped to be able to raise the $6,000 they needed to pay for board review and examination fees," said David Heflin, WKCTC radiography program coordinator. "So they wanted use the extra money to support future radiography students and also give back to the community," said Heflin. The students also donated to the local United Way, Toys-for-Tots and the Kentucky Special Olympics.
