During today’s tough economic times, it has become more important to learn effective money management skills. Beginning Wednesday, October 16, West Kentucky Community and Technical College is offering classes to help high school students develop these skills.
Financial Literacy for 9-12 graders will be held every Monday and Wednesday evenings between Monday, October 16, and Monday, November 18. Each class is held from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the Emerging Technology Center, room 141. The cost of the six-week course is $50.
The course will teach students about:
- financial responsibility
- money management
- savings
- credit score ratings
- insurance
- budgeting
- financial choices
To sign up for the course, students will need home Internet access and a basic calculator. Space is limited. Register by calling 270-534-3335.
