Small business owners can learn the basics of Quickbooks 2013 at West Kentucky Community and Technical College on Thursday, October 17 and Thursday, October 24.
The introductory class is designed to help non-accountant small business owners and staff members achieve an understanding of how to effectively utilize QuickBooks 2013 software.
Both sessions will be from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. in the Emerging Technology Center, room 112. The cost is $100 for both classes.
Hands-on class instruction for the classes will include:
- Setting up QuickBooks
- Recording sales
- Receiving payments
- Making deposits
- Paying bills
- Maintaining payroll
- Creating reports
Course instructor Colette Buford, owner of CYB Accounting in Paducah, and her staff have been providing customized accounting services to small and medium sized businesses and non-profit organizations since 2005. Since then, Buford has been a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and carries various certifications in QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Point of Sale.
